About Me
Getting my tree back to life

I have a really beautiful old olive tree in my backyard. I love sitting under it on warm summer night. Unfortunately, the tree got a bit of a knock from the truck that brought in our swimming pool this summer, and it has been looking quite sick ever since and hasn't had any olives yet this year. I am very attached to the tree, so I have got a guy from the tree service company making weekly visits to give it extra fertilising and trimming to try to promote growth. This blog is all about nursing a sick old tree back to health with help from a tree service company.

Why You Should Have Your Trees Inspected Before Winter

While winter is a time of fun and relaxed holidays, it's also a period that is very dangerous for trees. Winter brings with it high winds and heavy snow that can put pressure on already stressed trees. As the weather begins to change outside, are your trees healthy enough to survive the season? Here are a few reasons you should have a residential tree service inspect your trees before the season begins.

Dead Trees Are Dangerous

A tree goes through a lot of stress throughout the year, and the violent winds and snow during summer can be the final straw for rotting branches or the entire tree. Besides the fact that a branch or a tree can fall on someone, it's also likely that kids or pets that climb on trees will fall with the branches and get hurt. The trees must be inspected to ensure the branches are safe and healthy enough to withstand the stress of winter and human activities. Hazardous tree removal is essential if the tree seems to be severely affected by disease, pests or old age.

Prevent Power Outage

The tree inspector will check if there are any branches near power lines because many dangers can occur if a branch falls. The last thing you want during winter is to have a power outage because tree branches fell on your power lines at night. A trained tree expert will be able to remove the leaves and branches around the power lines without touching the wires.

Protect Property

It's also important to inspect the branches near your house or any other structure in your home or your neighbors'. Falling trees account for a lot of property damage, so it's important to get rid of them before that happens. Whether the tree is healthy or not, the branches should not be anywhere near your house, so the tree expert will cut them down carefully.

Remove Hazardous Trees

Hazardous trees are a danger to your home all year round and not just during winter. They can fall on their own and hurt someone, harbor termites and other pests like birds and squirrels, and they spread diseases during the windy season. An annual residential land clearing is very important to ensure your home is safe from hazardous trees and free from any dangers.

Most residential tree service companies provide inspection services, and they will be able to offer you advice on how to take care of your trees. Their services include timely tree trimming, treating diseased trees, and tree and stump removal.
